Guest Blog: “The Quarks Effect” Series // Daniel Marver

(This week we’re pumped to feature Daniel Marver, the brains & energy behind the brand new All-Star Nutrition here in central Minnesota).

Being an entrepreneur, let me share with you something I’ve come to realize. The one thing they don’t teach you in school (but they probably should!) is how hard it is to manage all aspects of your life when you own your own business. There are a lot of great articles that give advice on how to do this, such as this one from Entrepreneur and this one from Forbes. But information is just information until you actually apply it.

Having just recently opened All-Star Nutrition here in Waite Park, I can tell you that my life has been in non-stop grind mode, as I try to get all of the pieces in motion. My days here at All-Star Nutrition start at 7am and they end at 10pm – all 7 days/week. Not joking. In getting a new business off the ground, everything revolves around work.

I greatly value health & nutrition, and really try to practice what I preach when it comes to being healthy and keeping my body in shape. When I found out about Quarks meal delivery service, I was hooked. They allow you to choose all of the elements of your meal, and then they take it one step further by packaging and delivering for easy refridgeration and re-heating purposes.

Eating clean is essential for long-lasting and sustainable energy throughout a grueling day. Quarks uses good, slow digesting carb sources such as quinoa and brown rice, which are great for helping power me through my day. I also really like the sushi grade tuna they offer. I am from the west coast originally so this is something I am really accustomed to eating. When I get home after a long day of work the last thing I want to worry about is having to cook for the week.  Thanks to Quarks, meal planning and prep is one less thing I have on my plate!

(Thanks, Dan! We value being able to cross-promote with All-Star Nutrition and to keep you fueled in your entrepreneurial pursuits! Next week on the blog we’re featuring another incredible female entrepreneur and local fitness fanatic, Tami Huberty, from Moms on the Run!)
